The Kick Butts Day Web site (www.kickbutts.org) offers new activity ideas, printable promotional materials, a downloadable planning guide and stylish new gear, including promotional magnets, stickers and buttons, apparel, mugs and bottles.
This year the Drug-Free Coalition is teaming up with the Tobacco Free Partnership and the Lyn Treece Boys and Girls Club to sponsor a carnival for kids in honor of Kick Butts Day. Join us on Wednesday March 23rd from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Lyn Treece Boys and Girls Club, 4112 Beck Lane.
The carnival will include games, prizes, and educational activities. We are encouraging students and parents to participate in a club talent show. Students will also have the opportunity to write letters to our local government officials about being tobacco free and about the dangers of secondhand smoke. Parents are encouraged to join us and sign the smoke free home and car pledge. This event is open to the public and free.
