When To Worry About Smart Kids And Drugs

NPR recently responded to a study about children with high IQ's being more likely to use drugs in adulthood. This study obviously has some parents shaken up.

The point: while we can't change kids' IQs, we can change a host of other things in their lives. Proven parental monitoring strategies -- waiting up until curfew, talking with teens about risks and dangers, and setting clear rules and enforcing them -- can all help prevent drug and alcohol use!
