Responsible Alcohol Retailer Award :: 2012


This year the Drug-Free Coalition in partnership with the Campus Community Bar Retail Coalition (CCBRC) awarded its inaugural Responsible Alcohol Retailer Award.

The 2012 award went to Jake's Roadhouse in West Lafayette. Pictured above is West Lafayette Mayor, John Dennis, and Coalition Director, Karah Rawlings, presenting this year's award to Angie Brown of Jake's.

The award came about after coalition members participated in a bar assessment last spring. Jake's displayed operating procedures that stood out above the other establishments and the CCBRC wanted to recognize them for their excellence. The award will be given out annually to a retail establishments that works to promote a healthier and safer community.We are proud to have Jake's as a partner. 

The Campus Community Bar Retail Coalition works together to address high-risk alcohol behaviors.
