Tomorrow is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) drug abuse among youth is rapidly increasing. For more information on prescription and over-the-counter drug use and abuse click here.

The National Prescription Take-Back Day is April 30, 2011. To find locations in your area click here. The Tippecanoe County drop-off will be at the Indiana State Police office in West Lafayette at 5921 SR 43 from 10am until 2pm.

The purpose of this National Take Back Day was to provide a venue for persons who wanted to dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs. This is a great day to safely dispose of expired, unwanted, unused prescription and over-the-counter drugs. Last year the state of Indiana collected over 2 tons of drugs and safely disposed of them.
